As we learn in the book of Genesis, God created men and women in his image. He created men and women to be distinctly different; with separate sets of gifts and talents to complement each other. We were not created to compete with each other….but to come together in perfect unity to complete God’s plan. God’s plan is for the ultimate destruction of Satan, and men and women have equal stakes in this plan. This truth is powerful! Women are 50% of the weapon to defeat Satan.
Most women, like me, have suffered from spiritual bondage of one kind or another. Satan is so happy about this. He is scared of women, so he works extra hard to deceive, lie to, and wipe out women’s power. Satan has spent a lot of time doing all of those things and more to women, starting with the first encounter he had with the very first woman, Eve.
My personal struggles include depression, low self-esteem, and looking to other people for approval and acceptance. The only way out of this downward spiral is to give up and give in to the One who has been pursuing me and has been with me my entire life. God. God is truly all I need. He has shown me that through accepting His gift of salvation, followed by consistent prayer and getting to know Him better through His Word; I can have an amazing and full life on earth as I fulfill the plans He has uniquely designed for me. God wants to use me for His glory and to be a strong warrior against the enemy. And God wants to use you. We already know the outcome, that we will come together with all believers to defeat Satan and enjoy a new heaven and a new earth with God.
We women have the opportunity to be strong warriors for Him. If we accept this challenge, we can not afford to sit back quietly and let our lives play out without taking action. God gives us the Truth and we have to actively move. That means we have to dive into the Bible and study His word. It means we have to believe what we read and know that He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. The Bible tells us we will have the power of Him through the Holy Spirit. That means we can pray specific prayers against the enemy and he must flee. It means we have the power to do all He designed us for; to be fierce followers of Jesus Christ, to love others, be graceful, support our families, and show kindness and compassion to all people. This is how we win the battles against the enemy. This is how we live in peace and love with all creation. And God so graciously gave all of those gifts to us.
We have a very intimate God that loves us deeper than we could ever imagine. When we turn to Him completely, he blesses us more than we could dream. Through every dark and sin-filled valley he has provided a way to get out and back on track. God values me. God values you. He values ALL of his creation, but as women we are especially loved by Him. God wants every person born to turn to Him and know Him. His promise of eternal life is not for a select few, it is for all men and women. Those who choose to believe will be saved, will have discernment through the Holy Spirit, and they will spend eternity with God once their earthly bodies pass away.
The beautiful truth is that God meets everyone where they are at. He does not wait for us to “have it together”. The bible is filled with stories of men and women who appear totally messed up and God uses them for His good purpose. God wants to use you. Believe this and seek to learn more. Reach out to others for strength and encouragement as you venture into or deeper into your relationship with God. Women truly are God’s secret weapon and the time is coming when women of faith will be called to rise up and defeat Satan in the final battle. Let’s get on our battle gear and be ready together!

John 10:9-10
“I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
Psalm 9:9
“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.”
1 Corinthians 16:13-14
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.”
James 1:1-6
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”
